so when I got to Nashville I went and dropped off my bags at my friend Doug's house and then we headed downtown where Doug had a show at The Wildhorse Saloon. the band was great. the drummer was Travis Tritt's Drummer and the Steel player played with Brooks and Dunn and i forget who the others played for but they were all solid.
during the breaks we'd all hang out backstage but when the band went back on, backstage was empty. now, some Drunk McGyver type guy found some way to sneak backstage and go on a rampage. when we got back, there was a broken lamp and a punched out frame of Sara Evens. all of the other pictures were left unscathed, one would come to the conclusion that this guy hated Sara Evans for one reason on the other. from the shattered picture of Sara Evans you could see a Blood Drip Trail that led to the bathroom where there was a fire extinguisher that he felt the need to spray for one reason or the other, and then out to the main concert floor.
Luckily nothing was stolen or anything like that. the best part was they found the dude still in the venue with his hand in his pocket like no one would notice that he has had a bloody hand. when the cops asked him he tried to play it cool but it was a little obvious. anyway, it was an eventful first night.
