The Delorean

So according to the LA Times, they are going to start making Deloreans again. How sweet would that be. they need to make the stereo somehow look like a flex capacitor though.

"All Night Long"

This was a great thing. as I was driving to the airport, I snapped a picture of this car with a full rear window picture of none other than Lionel Richie. its not the best quality so you will probably have to click on the picture to see it. it took me back to when my friends and i were living in an apartment and had a Lionel Richie Record that we would blast regularly. this guy was obviously too dedicated to Mr Richie to go to these lengths.

Paris on Letterman

i'm not a huge fan of David Letterman but this was pretty great

nailed it

this kid nails this interview........turtles are pretty sweet

Great Album

If you like to be the first person to find new artists, here you go. i stumbled across this girl awhile back and they just put out a record not too long ago. its really a great record and i would not be surprised to see it blow up or at least be on a million TV shows and movie soundtracks. if you are into mellow stuff this has your name written on it.
Standouts: Numbers, Hologram, I Am Zero, Sleepy Head, OK the whole thing is good

Oh the memories

so before i jumped full on into music, i used to dabble in some other arts, martial (of course) but also a little bit of dancing (until i realized that this should not happen). here is a clip of Julianne Hough (Mormon girl on dancing with the stars) and i back in the day. she was in love with me obviously but i just couldn't stay dancing any longer and it didn't last, although i did tear it up on the dance floor. my hair was defiantly longer back then.

so, i have been reluctant to show anyone this because it's so personal and i really put a lot of time into it. It's my personal website where i post pictures and poetry etc. There are pictures of me juggling fire and what i think is brilliant poetry that i am extremely proud of. Let me know your thoughts

here it is www.DustinChristensen.com

Show Update

so i found out a few days ago that we will be playing a big show with the band Boys Like Girls on November 14 at Weber State. I am not sure if I am into their stuff or not because I have not heard enough of them, but they are a pretty big band at the moment. It was funny to see my niece Maddie trying to schmooze her uncle to get her some backstage passes. I told her we will see what happens when it gets closer. the last thing I need to see are young musicians trying to hit on my little niece. should be a good show though. I have been without a band since my old guitar player got a gig as the lead guitar player for Julie Roberts and now for Sarah Buxton, so I have been doing a lot of solo things and writing for different projects. I have a band lined up to play the show with. i have played with a couple of them but not all. Rehearsals start Friday so we will see how it goes.

Dean Summerwind

Not many know this but whenever a project comes up that i would rather keep separate from the things i normally write and perform, i will use the name Dean Summerwind (Dean being my middle name, and Summerwind being the street that i grew up on). this is one of those times. Some friends of mine and myself wrote this for the movie Churchball, and i was nominated to scream/sing it. it was truly my 80's rock moment

Watch Your Back

Saturday, September 1, 2007

So here is the latest home demo i did. its basically a song about someone dying and leaving their other behind. its more singer songwriter than i normally write but yeah. it's a work in progress so we will see if it ever makes the cut to be on a record

Like a Rose

When the bus comes down
I'll be leaving you now
There's a note i left
I hope you read it out loud

It's not your fault
That i gotta get back
And i can't go on
And i've tried to unpack

Don't cry
Faith like a rose
You can revive
Pictures and words
Like the poems that I'd misspell now

Cos it's alright
it's alright

Loves a painted shrine
On a bedroom wall
And we're the part that shines
But we're bound to wash off

It's where the bullets fly
And you're left for dead
When the well runs dry
life's a book you read

Don't cry
Face like a rose
You can rewind
I'm here when you go
And you don't have to save me now

Cos it's alright
It's alright

Random

so this is a parody SNL did i guess of something that happened on that show the OC. i never saw it but i did see this and i thought it was oddly funny
